As members of our church my husband, Don, and I became aware of the need for someone to go to the local, as well as out-of-town nursing homes and retirement centers to visit those members of our church who were no longer able to care for themselves independently or to attend the services at our church. We both felt this was a "ministry" to which the Lord was calling us, especially Don, who had experienced a miracle in a nursing home. You may read about this in Don's Testimony. The number of people we visited grew from a few to many, and included relatives and/or friends of the members of our church and community, and others we met as a result of visiting "our own." We quickly came to love these very important and wonderful people, who occupy a special place in our hearts. We are now blessed to have a team of several others who help with this ministry. So.....we'd like to share with you: WHAT WE DID and WHY WE DID IT.
